About the Artist

Gloria Greco grew up in the quiet, picturesque hamlet of Saint James, New York on Long Islands’ North Shore. Here her fascination for wildlife and nature became evident. This theme has been present in her artwork even from an early age. Almost completely self taught and with a devotion to realism, she has developed a versatile and unique style with the ability to capture nature and wildlife at its best. She has developed her skills in oil and watercolour, as well as ink and pencil renderings, scratchboard, and pastel. After living in the Florida Keys for several years, where she became well known for her paintings of big cats, Gloria returned to New York and now makes her home in Mattituck on the beautiful North Fork of Long Island.
